Shoe laces

Recieved new shoes from interweb company. Opened the box, and both are laced in the stupidest way possible.
No way that can be comfortable.

So I search on why they are laced this way.
Seems this is the best way to display shoes.
I'm thinking a very low percentage of shoes end up as display items.
Especially those sold only on the internet.
I'm a fan of the saying "You're right. Let's do it the stupidest way possible because it's easiest for you."

I found something that may be useful in my search.

YMMV

LMAO

I lace and tie mine so I can slip into them, mine don't get tied too many times in their lifetime.
Work boots are slip on, masonry mortar kills shoe laces

Foot width, and available shoe sizes affect comfort.

I am typically a 11.5 EEE.
most times to use off shelf shoes, need to be a 12.

I've become a fan of muck boots.
Offer good support with a shank. Spend most of my time on concrete, need safety toes.
Used to worry about how I looked with boot tops over my pant leg. Decided comfort over fashion.
Tried several higher end boots, cannot get consistent results when I need new shoes.
Just some thoughts.

So how do I tie these?

Most mornings I am just happy to still be able to tie my shoes. Some days are more difficult than others! LOL
I remember a fad back in the '80s (high school) when we all laced our high tops in really odd ways.
Somehow I feel it had little to nothing to do with additional ankle or arch support. :)
