Should I use any sealer on the brake line threads ?

Back in the day I used the teflon pipe thread tape but now I am reading not to do that. I might not use anything. I don't use anything when screwing a brake line into a wheel cylinder or brake hose on a car or truck, have had no issues there.

Nothing is needed if the parts all fit right but, nothing wrong with teflon paste if you apply sparingly to the male half only.

They make Teflon tape, that's what we always used. About a turn and a half is sufficient, counterclockwise. Don't let any of the tape get over the inlet on the fitting!
