Shrinking expander ring

How to shrink the expander ring for std piston clone. I know you can cut it but is there a way to shrink

I may be old school but taking a little bit of material off of each Edge of the expander works for me if it's not broke don't fix it

It actually needs more than that to get the right size so it's not tight. The dyno cams low tension works but I was trying to do myself

You'll need an iron sleeve sized accordingly and a torch, get it red hot and it will shrink and lose tension.

^^^ this ! There’s more to it than just cutting it undersize.

Cut it until you have 3.5 lbs of drag on the piston with a fish scale. No need for heating
