What is the difference between standard and threaded drum ? Red and black ? Is one better than the other ?

The threaded , i thought was supposed to prevent wear at the drum driver connection . Also i believe a different bearing is used . A small diameter ball bearing .

The red Vortex have threaded in bearing drivers. The don't "wobble" like the black Vortex or Bully style do. Very nice, well thought out, design where you don't have to worry about endplay.
As a suggestion, I'd would buy extra baskets and drivers rather than just swapping out drivers though.

yeah i think part of the gripes from people are that its nearly impossible to get the driver out once its in
