Gearing for Sr champ Predator we have Tried a 18-61 turned only 4678 on both karts this past week we ran a 18-59 4707 and a 18-57 4768 tire pressure 9-10lb

The week you were on the 18/61 only turning 4678 either as flattop points out kart was tight, OR tires wrong for conditions, and slightly gear bound to start, this past week less rear gear turned more rpm Tires matched conditions better, next race I'd try 56 rear see if rpms pick up little more 4900 should be max you want.

Kart didnt feel tight it just felt like it was cruising around the track

I will try a 56 next Saturday we both have the Ducar 212cc motors one lap in my kart I turned 4823 but couldn't catch 2nd place kart in heat race went down two teeth and turned 4707 kart felt faster

Then your tires were just not in the track enough to generate forward drive to hit better rpms.

If I had to pick one target rpm it would be 4850.
