steering shaft

mine bent just running a backyard track, bent pretty easily
is anybody using solid bar?
i know its not safe at least in big cars

5/8 " O D solid shaft for most American built karts with the exception of Margay . Margay and most all imported chassis use 17mm O D tube steering shafts .

Ok some of the older Imported chassis may have used this size shaft which would equate to 19 mm . Do you know the brand name or manufacturer of your chassis ?

i was told it is an early phoenix chassis built by Piedmont karts.

also there is a number on the bottom steering shaft mount 90817
