Can someone explain why you want enagement lower then peak torque ?

Stinger Clutch - Peak torque is at 3200
On the ground kart starts to take of 2600


So question is should be on the blue springs 2600-2900 or orange 3000-3200...

Just seeing if someone could explain the engagement works to me
 
You set engagement to the peak torque of the engine (which you determine with a dyno) or just below it. The clutch is merely a vessel that you fine tune to the engine.

Is there a big window ? 2600-2900 springs vs 3000-3200 ? Would the 2900 be better having it locked prior to peak torque ? If peak torque is 3200
 
If clutch tries to engage below peak torque rpm, any loss of rpm until you reach peak torque also drops the torque being produced by the engine.

If you engage at or above peak torque, any loss of rpm has an accompanying rise in torque.

The rpm you are talking about when the kart begins to move is often referred to as chatter rpm.
I like to put the kart on stand, hold brake and rev engine till brakes struggle to hold it. The rpm shown on the tachometer at this point would be the engagement rpm.

Partial engagement is what you are seeing at 2600. Full engagement at 3200 is what you should be concerned with. They all do that to some degree and really should be minimized as much as possible. Does it need to idle that fast?
