stock honda head

I'll get the spring # tonight.
after getting the head bolted on, push rods in and went to adjust the valve lash, I notice I get some movement (exhaust valve) when the piston is at or near bdc on the intake stroke... what could possibly be moving the lifter. do I need to take the side cover off and check for something... seems pretty simple.. crank in, lifters in, cam in, line up dots.. side cover on.. I know this is my first, but the task seems simple
 
The movement should be at TDC you cannot install the cam wrong if you lined up the marks. It sounds like you better check though. The movement is the decompressor it occurs just before TDC.
 
The compression release mechanism on some cams may need the spring stretched just a little or tweaked, i have ran into some cams like the BSP 3 cams with a weak spring on the compression release. I just lightly stretched the spring
