Storing tires

I always put a coat of conditioning prep (Track Tac Tire Tuff for me) or what ever line of prep you use just a conditioner prep, some say wd-40 to put oil in the tires. Also there was a good post from one of the prep makers saying NOT to wrap them in saran wrap or other plastic because the interaction of the plastic with the prep while in contact with the tire could give unfavorable results. He said if you choose to wrap them, to wrap them in aluminum foil. I try to store them in a somewhat temperature controlled area like an attached garage (not a trailer).

Not off topic, but if wanting to cut tires for next spring should I get it done before storing or shortly before next season? Looking for the best bang for the buck.

Thanks
