I'm guessing your proposed motor will be somewhere in the 20's in the HP department.
Methanol would be good for a 10% increase in HP if you're an adequate tuner, more if you're a sharp one.
It eliminates your octane requirement problem.
It's probably cheaper than 110 race gas.

If you're willing to leave 2 to 2 1/2 HP on the table, that's on you.
