TDC

Slip a zip tie in the spark plug hole .
Its a little tricky , you need a large head one .
Which may need filed on some . Its been a while since i did it .
You do have a degree wheel ?
I always wanted to make an indexing device off the output shaft keyway
And the chain gaurd mounting holes .
Poping the head off was easier .

Yes....got a degree wheel. I was thinking of trying a zip tie like you suggested. Wasn't sure if anyone had tried it before. Thanks

For the record, after installing the degree wheel as normal, I slipped the larger end of a zip tie into the plug hole and between the head and piston (coming up on TDC). This worked fine and was surprisingly accurate when rolling the degree wheel back and forth to insure TDC was located correctly.
