Thanks again, Ionic Edge Chassis. Daytona podiums

I took my Ionic Edge Sprint kart to Daytona last week and in my first ever try at A Road Racing event, finished 2nd and 3rd in the Clone 385 classes. I believe I could have won if I would have had a belt drive which would have given me the correct gear ratio. Instead of running a 30-68, I had to settle for a 26 -65 with 219 chain. In the road course part of the track I passed every kart in the class at least twice but couldn't stay with them around the big track do to my gear. I also won an SIRA race this year and won the "Music City Grand Prix" in Nashville TN. passing Jeff Jewel on the last lap.
I just wanted to Thank Luttrell Racing for the great chassis. it has been extremely easy to tune on and get fast enough to be competitive everywhere I've been from short tracks too long tracks and street races and I am planning on running the Gold Cup Series this year and showing what the Ionic Edge chassis can do. Anyone interested in an Ionic Edge chassis, contact Kyle, at www.luttrellracing.com

Yes Devil-D-Dawg. I podiumed the first time out (at Daytona none the less) with our new Ionic Edge Chassis w/ CIK bodywork in one of the TaG classes. We are very pleased with the chassis and support from Luttrell Racing and look forward to running this chassis in 2014. Feel free to email me for some pics or contact Kyle at Luttrell as I believe he has some of our chassis as well.

Where did you find a CIK body that fit? It looks like the nerf receivers are set up for a bullet shell (like M&M). Wouldn't you have to take a saw to that chassis to accommodate a CIK body?

I have a 2013 Ionic Edge, and am in the same CIK boat this year. If you have any info to share on how this is done I would appreciate it.

Is this results area on the web for when you raced? I couldn't find either your name or your chassis manufactures name in that area. help????

Would you point us to all the results for your race and where you stand in points?

It will be fun to watch your efforts through out the season after your initial success.

I had only the one race weekend (Daytona) with ours and at the time (I know it's been awhile) we had the only CIK style built Ionic Chassis. We had two built by Luttrell which he made the chassis specifically for us and our road racing efforts. First time out with the primary chassis we podiumed each day. I believe 2nd on race day (1) and 3rd on race day (2). Good chassis literally right out of the trailer that year-- I put a lot of time in the frame up build of them. After that weekend I was offered a backed ride with DRT Racing and DR Chassis- which I have been with ever since. :)
