...finishing up my "from scratch" build here. Stupid question:
How much "slack" should there be between the top plate and throttle rod assembly? Too clarify, should it be trimmed as an exact fit or does one leave the cable a bit loose?
A small amount of slack , between the last mounting point and the bell crank . (Leave enough for engine movement on the mount in the main run ..)
You don't want the cable so tight it won't idle down .
Or hold it at half throttle .
