I threaded the rod on the frame and I can adjust the idle there.The key to adjusting the idle with the brass nut on top of the carb is to get all the slack out of the throttle cable. There are different way to do this but if your chassis has a metal rod that goes from the pedal along the right frame rail I have been making the Missing Link to make life easier since day one.

You don't "need" to. It's simply another way of doing it, and also gets the tip of the idle adjuster screw backed out of the air flow in the smallest (venturi) area of the carb.Why I need to adjust the idle with the cable and not with the screw on the carb, I an new, race in Costa Rica, another question, is better to install the clutch inbord o out bore?
