Tillotson carbs on Animals - suggestions?

A few of us are playing around with modified Animals at our local track. I'd like to try a Tillotson carb on mine, and I'm looking for opinions for a good setup to use. Right now I have a stock stroke, billet rod, WF piston, milled head, 308 cam, and running alcohol through the stock carb with the Briggs alcohol conversion kit. What model Tilly are you running? Do I need dual fuel pumps like on the flatheads? Thanks in advance.

The HL-304WXA was developed on the Briggs Animal for the Limited Modified OHV Class, basically what you have. We recommend using the Walbro round-style pumps or one of our aftermarket round pumps. We have stock HL-304wxa kit and our blueprinted and machined Dominators.

No to dual fuel pumps. Just mount the fuel pump as close to the carb as possible. It gets it's pulse from the intake.

Just to clarify, by dual pumps I meant the one built in the carb plus the one on the engine. Sounds like we're all on the same page, I just didn't say what I meant.

8.5-10lbs, we normally use our 008 spring with the fulcrum arm height set to .065"
