Tire pressures

I'm new to asphalt racing. The track tire is vega yellows. What is a good tire pressure to start out with? Florida 1/5 mile.

why is it left/right vs front/rear or all 4 different pressures?
Where the load is placed on the tires due to centrifugal force (side load.)
Road race and sprint karts use a variance (interestingly enough 2 psi) front to rear.

You can make the tires whatever pressure you like. There are no hard fast rules on this.

For instance, on bigger momentum tracks, I like to run the same psi in the LR as the right sides for better roll speed. With real high cross set-ups I do this as well, since the car is rolling on the LR so much.

2 psi split is just a starting point suggestion from the tire manufacturers and based on past experience.

I have been sucsesfull balancing the kart with front and rear adjusting for push and loose. I fiddle between L/R as well but I run higher psi than most
