In western PA, don't count out Vegas or Hoosiers if you're track is not a Burris tire rule track.

Vegas are the best

The track is at a buddy"s farm, we run adult stock clone. He preps the track well and it holds up pretty good. The fast guys last year were on Hoosiers, I am wondering if the Vegas would be a little bit better. I have only use Burris so not to familiar with anything else.

Either will work fine. The Hoosier A40 is very comparable to the Vega MCS.
We stock, sell, and race them both.

CM, do you need to cut the Hoosiers? Prep?

The 40''s don't necessarily need cut -- they are thinner rubber. The D30A definitely benefit from being cut.
I tend to cut them all, but some guys run them right out of the wrapper the way they come from the factory.

You will prep them "less" than other brands -- actually very similarly to the Vegas because they have more natural rubber and oil in them.
Most preps on the market will work just fine with Hoosiers. I prefer to use our Pink Panther internally, then hit the outsides with either Pink Panther, Monster Bite, or Black Bite 2.0.
