Treaded Tires- Do you use Tire Prep

Do you use tire prep on treaded tires or is it just for slicks? Thanks

Race cars have treads and they prep if that gives you an idea.

If your using a Burris TX 11 just a conditioner should be good for a weekly prep. I use a medium base seems to keep the soft and sticky.But Im sure you can use some others preps also for more bite.

Depends mostly on the tire rules with race cars on whether we do internal or not. For a kart, yes you would.

I prefer to needle it into the blocks from the outside. (Big car tires too - depending on the application and prep used.) When you internally roll prep in a treaded tire, you get it to come through the grooved areas long before it will ever come completely through the tread blocks. I'm not sure that's what you want. All depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
