treads

May be a dumb question but I'm curious. Are you guys refinishing your treads like you would slicks? if so are you using the same method as you do for slicks.

The little Black Round things ?
I would, maybe not with 320 grit definitely a flap wheel and or belt sander .

it just seems like I'm not getting as nice of a finish as I do with my maxxis when I do my Hoosier treads the same way. it may just be because of the different type of rubber? it's almost as if the tire is still sealed over

Yea definitely that was also one of the reasons I asked how others are doing it. if anything probably using too much it flings everywhere when I do my treads trying to think of a way to keep that from happening so much

Plenty of Windex, and keep the belt sander flatter as your run across the blocks.
You have to sand very lightly on Hoosiers will all the natural rubber that is in them.
Keeping the belt flat on the tire keeps from taking off the edges of your blocks.
