Trying to find out the year and make of my go karts. And what suggestions for things that are essential.

I recently purchased 2 go karts. 1 is a margay. The other is an Italian made shifter i do not know the name of. I would like to know how to find out what year and make they are. Also I am a bit of a gear head. I want to upgrade every thing I get in to. What are some must haves starting with the shifter. Things to make it faster more comfortable and such? Thanks for the help guys and thanks for having me here in this group!

Take them too the track probably everyone there would have an idea of type and year .
Shifter should be pretty fast as is .
If your not comfortable a seat change or adjustment is in order .
Or a Corvette :)

The margay has the serial number on the inside of the front right spindle c- yoke. The first 2 numbers are typically the year of the chassis, or the year that model came out if Margay didn't make any changes to it. You can send the serial number to Margay on their website and they will give you all the details on the chassis.
