Twister SS

I may be purchasing what I’m told is a 2014 Twister SS tomorrow. It will be for my grandson who is 10, but about the size of a small adult. I’ve been out of racing since 1996 so its kind of like starting all over. Can anyone offer suggestions on set up? This kart will mostly be at Southern Kartway in Loris, SC or Triple T in Fayetteville, NC. Both clay tracks. I’m guessing kart and drive around 280 lbs.

Set the rear hub spacing with wheels on RR 1/4" from inside edge of wheel to frame, and LR 3/4" to frame, front wheels as close as you can without wheels rubbing spindle arm, top rear back of seat 9.75" off top of axle, leave stock caster, set staggers in tires front 1 1/2" rear track dependent, Triple T 1" should be ok, set air at 6lb rights and 5 lb lefts then go on scales and set numbers, 46.5 % nose, 56.5 % left, 61 % cross, 2.6 RF neg camber, .5 LF pos camber , toe out 1/16". That will give you a good baseline start.
