Between the holiday shipping rush and the current weather issues, shippers have been having all sorts of issues.
Ralph and gang are good folk -- I believe they will come through for you.

Thanks,

It was busy over Xmas plus they helped out a big race on after Xmas I order stuff weekly great guys don't worry Ralph always takes of his customers

I had the same Exact experience with them last year. I ordered 5 sets of wheels from them. After 2 weeks I never saw them. Contacted them and the story was exactly the same, he couldn't track them for some weird reason. He had to overnight 5 sets of wheels on there dime.

Good example of customer service Ludlow. This speaks volumes to me about their business. It stings to have to eat the freight (esp. next day!) but it hurts even more to lose a customer -- ALL are valuable!

Ya know, years ago we had an experience like this down south -- come to find out that the UPS driver was a kart racer and was "accidentally" forgetting to scan the packages he picked up. I wonder if the same thing could be happening with UF? With today's technology and the way packages are scanned every time they move from one vehicle to another, the tracking surely would have shown up if the driver picking them up scanned them.
Then again, I've got packages stuck in transit today due to the snow and excessive cold we've been seeing recently. Sometimes it's no one's fault -- just a victim of circumstances.

They are right across the river from me and down in Omaha...Ralph is a great guy and would never rip someone off, and his goal is not to either. He has been working an indoor race over Christmas and that took alot of his time away.

For those that got great service from Uncle Franks that's good. My experience was a lot differenet. They promise price matching in a big ad on the top of their website store until you call them and try it. They are a very unethical business. I don't like it when businesses lie and waste my time...... Don't price match? Then don't post that you price match. Very simple concept. Lie to me? I never return.

I ordered a mycron 4 earlier in the week. Told them where I found it cheaper Ralph looked it up and done. I'm just getting in to karting but have made 3 or 4 orders with them and very pleased with there service.

I generally try to give folks the benefit of the doubt on a day to day basis. Given that Ralph and Lee have given so much to the karting community and have been in business so long, I doubt they run an unethical business.

Fab54: I do appreciate the frustration of seeing something on a website and then having it not be true. Candidly, your situation appears to have been an exception versus the rule. Given how fluid pricing is in the karting industry, it would not surprise me that someone only running a mail order business may be able to undercut someone who is bricks and mortar. For that reason, maybe Ralph should evaluate his claim to price match. Of course the assumption is, that the comparative price is within a profitable margin.

My son and I are heavily involved in radio controlled cars. As you can appreciate there are a plethora of "mail order barns" to choose from. I make a conscious effort to use our brick and mortar HobbyTown store versus online barns. I believe in supporting the independent businessman, who is investing in the community, but I also appreciate the customer service - after the sale.

I generally give folks the benefit of the doubt and offer up a second chance at earning my business. I am sorry your experience with uncle Frank's was less than ideal and I wish you well with future purchases.

Uncle Frank's is the best in the business as far as I'm concerned. I have dealt with quite a few shops in my years racing karts and have never experienced better support than that of Ralph and Lee at Uncle Frank's!

Call them with any questions or concerns!

Candidly my experience may very we'll be the exception rather than the rule however it is the only experience I had with Uncle Franks. Someone asked a question so I offered up my experience. I was not dealing with some online fly by night onliner. I was dealing with a reputable kart shop that was bricks and online. The price was published and is still the same price today. Being new to karting I have been buying a lot of stuff. I have bought from M&M performance, Roberts kart shop, BM Karting, JC Specialty, OMB Warehouse, and George Bark. The service has been exceptional at each of them.

As I stated, Uncle Franks set their price match policy not me. They then chose not to follow it. That in my book is unethical any day of the week.
