Unknown chassis and steering set up

Hello, I am currently building my first go kart. I bought a frame from a guy that bought it from someone else. I do not know if it is a custom build or a frame made by a company.

Also, I do not know what types of spindles work for this set up, I have been looking everywhere, but I haven’t found a single lead.

any and all help is much appreciated.

Is this all you have? No spindles, hubs, bearings, axle, brakes etc? You can easily reach a point where it's not financially worth buying everything you need to complete this project. If you do have more a picture of the stuff can help us see where you are at. The type of spindles you need are quite an old design but not impossible to find. The spindle kingpin diameter will need to be known too.

I have the hubs, wheels, and tires. the financial side isn’t an issue for me, I primarily wanted to build the entire thing from scratch, but I don’t have the best welder. I know the live axle is a 1”. I will go and measure the ID of the spindle hole here in a minute, it looks like a 1/2”

Looks like a sprint frame . As Stated roi is out the window . It could be a vintage chassis . Possibly wortn something .
Personally i would not convert the axle .

We had an old straight rail kart that I assumed was 1 inch when in fact was 25mm (turns out it was a Yamaha}. I dont think yours is but it wouldnt hurt to check.
