Unknown chassis

New to the karting world and kind of wandering what chassis I have.

Update. Margay and Trick both denied it was made by them. I looked at phantom's website they made 1 straight roller and this isn't it. Whole chassis was stripped to bare metal and it has no numbers
 
Before restoration

It has been restored but this is what it looked like before. No numbers on the bearing holders

Doubt it is Euro since I see no third bearing hanger. Also, never saw a Euro kart with throttle linkage solid bar like in your pictures. Also, the "c" portion of the front end is made into the spindles vs attached to the frame. Looks more like some early American manufacturer. I have spindles like those in the pictures but am not sure what chassis I had them on. Believe it was from either Margay or some other American chassis. I know my old Phantom chassis from the late 80s had the C built into the spindles.
 
A tip on chassis identification:

Margay has never produced a yoked spindle kart ( where the bearings are in the frame)

And a second tip:

If the spindles look like that, and they are 1/2" kingpins......it may be a Bandit. (Link or Tripplett)

PRC, Emmick, and Trick all used a 3/8" ID bearing with a 7/8" OD on their frame/bearing models.

Sox used a 7/16" ID bearing with a 7/8" OD...….which could be mistaken for 1/2"
 
I almost suggested a Sox chassis. I had a Shadow straight rail chassis in about 1990 (or maybe later) and it sort of looked similar from my recollection. Then again, my 30 year old recollection is not the best approaching my 70s.
 
Coyote maybe but should have found the serial number on the left rear bearing hanger if it was. Also, they have been using the bolt on "C" clips for quite some time so it would really have to be an old one. And from what I can find, before the bolt on "C" clips, they had the "C" welded on the frame.
 
The Coyote nerfs used to be angled and attached to flat tabs near the middle of the waist of the kart. Look at the pictures again and you will see the tabs on that kart. The back nerf tubes are in front of the rear bearing hangars. Still have old Coyote nerfs on the shelf in my shop.
 
Kart is pretty much back together now

Kart is pretty much back together now. Had to build Nerf bars and back bumper but everything else is pretty much factory
 
2 of the pics from the tear down. That other picture is this weekend after finally got most of the parts put together. Clutch and chain and it's ready to race now

Thanks. A lot of work fixing all the rigging done over the years but it's up to par enough (I feel) for some backyard racing
 
Do the tabs for the break master cylinder look homemade and ground with a hand grinder on the edges. We made about 20 karts in the 90s, they where based off margay, coyote and phonex. We did change the margay bracket to the 2 tab deal.
