Unlimiteds at New Years Shootout. Anyone interested?

Can I bring Yamaha KT 100 S.A.(stock Appearing) at weight at 350 class.

George. If it were my decision, and we just have to run the POS with the WKA Yamaha's. With the POS at 28-30hp and the WKA being 18-20hp. With 10hp difference between the to classes, 30lbs is not near enough weight break. I would say, and I said this 2 years ago make the WKA 330lbs and make the POS 390lbs. That still gives the unfair advantage with the WKA carring 16.5 lbs per HP and the POS carring 13 lbs per HP.

If you guys would make the WKA 315lbs and the POS 390 the POS would still have the HP to weight ratio advantage but the Yamaha would be at 15.57 per HP with the POS at 16.5.. To me those are the only weights that make any sense if we have to run these classes together. The POS would still have the advantage because who can get down to 315 anyway. LOL

My boy runs the New Years Shootout every year. It don't look like any Unlimiteds are speaking up. What about a Yamaha race?

Andrew, I can't understand why you want us to change what is working for us, sometimes as many as 8 karts, that show up to race and you never do?

Sometimes as many as 8!!! WOW!!!

I think you answered you own question Jack. You don't need to change anything for me.

I feel that I speak for most of us guys that have WKA Yamahas sitting around just waiting for a class to run them in. I got a call today wanting to know why me, Don, Chuck, Joey, Steve, Rick, Skip, Harvey and Billy don't bring our Yamahas up and run with you guys anymore. Well, it's pretty simple. Its the rules.

Did you ever think that it might be the rules why myself and many others with WKA Yamahas don't come and race??? On your best day you only get 8??? At Daytona you only get 8!!! I would not call that working by any means.

Jack. We don't run karts every week but we do run all the big races in our 4cycles like the World 100, Daytona, the KoO, and the Asphalt Shootout and the New Years Shootout EVERY YEAR!!! Look Jack. I got a 48 foot trailer. It wouldn't be to hard for me to throw my Yamaha in it and me run in Yamaha while we are already there.

I think I have told you for the last couple of years why I don't come and run with you guys. It is you rule package. And now it has killed any chance to bring back the Yamaha at Daytona. I got a call the other day about Sammy letting Yamahas run at the Shootout. So I called a few of the guys and were going to throw our WKA Yamahas in my trailer and come and run some. Nobody ever said it would be with the Fruitland rule package. They said a Yamaha race. You guys should leave the Fruitland rule package at Fruitland until you can get at least a HALF of a class to show up before you infect every other track in Florida and you guys achieve your common goal. To get rid of the WKA Yamaha. You are well on your way.

So,,,,,if it is going to be such a big problem to equal the weight to HP ratio for both motor combination in the same class, and thats the thing I just dont understand, I will just opt out with my Yamaha. If you guys ever decide to have a REAL Yamaha race, please let me know. See ya then.

You guys have at it... I will watch from the fence next weekend.

Again,,, I am sorry I every brought up having a Yamaha race at the Shootout. You guys know way better than me what is good for the Yamaha class. That POS class is really taking off anyway. By all the past growth you should be up to about 4 karts next year at Daytona. WOW. Everybody gets a top 5.

You will never hear me talking about the subject again.

Thank God!

Andrew is going to quit talking about the Yamaha class. I have not heard a word from Don, Chuck, Joey, Steve, Rick, Skip, Harvey and Billy about their preference for weight. I sure wish they would speak up on the subject, but on the thread about Yamaha rules. This thread is about Unlimiteds at Dirt Devils for the shootout. Please remember that.

Sorry lots of racers are going to Hickory, N.C. for kart fest show

George,

I appreciate your input. Maybe you are a little out of touch on this one. None of the guys locally are going to Hickory. I am pretty sure of that. Are you going?

Also I plan to be at our ranch in High Aspen, Colorado the 2nd weekend in February. Your welcome to come by and visit.

By the way, why are you always a no show everywhere?
