Update big block to UT2 CDI ignition?

Has anyone tried the UT2 CDI ignition on a 390-460? Obviously you'd need the non rev limited version from NR racing, along with the correct flywheel and associated wiring. It sounds like the high rpm guys don't care for the CDI but I'm wondering if it would be beneficial for low RPM builds? I use my 460 in a high load marine application and rarely see above 4500 rpm. The built in timing advance sounds like an awesome feature, I also like the sound of a 10 or 18 amp charging system. I use electric start quite often and have a temp and AFR gauge, the 3 amp system does not keep up. Anyone have any experience with this?
