They are too loose when new in my view. If rules allow then change with aftermarket guides and have your machine shop set up the clearance to around .0015 to .002 on the intake and just over .0025 to .003 on the exhaust. These are just approx. for a gas engine. Meth motors run cooler and you can tighten up the ex .0005 to around .0025.
