Valve spring help

Just installed 26lb valve springs in Hemi head and the exhaust spring is coil binding. Don’t think there are any shins under spring. Are the retainers different from intake to exhaust. Also it had lash caps on both valves

Are you using non stock retainers ?

No they are stock I believe.

What cam are you running . Usually you may have to cut spring pockets deeper when going to cams 275 lift and greater . In most cases it shows up on ex side first
