The time has come for the biggest buggy race of the year! The 7th annual Dylan Brockwell Memorial! $3077 to win Sr Champ Clone hosted by the VIRGINIA DIRT KARTING ASSOCIATION (VDKA). A huge thank you to Coastal RV in Carrollton, Va to come on board this year and make this happen for the karters. Coastal RV is a family ran business where Dylan was apart of their family same as he was to the kart racing family. To have the worlds intersect in Dylan’s honor on July 9 is something special. We also would like to thank the continued support of our other sponsors as well.

Weights: ALL weights must be double-nutted and the threads of
the bolt must protrude approx 1/4" after the jam nut..A nyloc nut or similar locking
nut is recommended as the jam nut....All weights attached to seats or similar
materials must have a large washer between the head of the bolt and seat....5/16"
bolts are the min.size when weight is less than 7 lbs...3/8" bolt is the min size or two
5/16" when weight is 7 lbs or more....... Weights are to be painted WHITE in color....

Air Filters can only filter from the sides of the filter. Air filters with an open end must
be taped over to prevent airflow from the end.

Fuel ( Gas ) for all Clone & Predator classes will be sold at the track....Bring a clean dry container for your gas purchase....The sample from the track sold gas will be used for comparison for all Clone & Predator races..

**** REMINDER/CLARIFICATION *******

All air filter( IF you chose to use them ) Must filter from sides only...NO open ended filters...You can tape open end closed to make filter legal...

Also the Clone Walker High-Perforance Clone Filter is Legal as long as the flat side is facing down to the tire or toward the rear.

Looks like she will win this weekend after all - we have check every Weather connections available and all draw a grim picture for racing on Saturday, so we will cancel the VDKA race at Capital City Speedway and it will now be held October 8th (our 2nd scheduled raindate)
Keep your karts ready - next VDKA race will be July 23rd at Margarettsville Speedway (raindate makeup from April 23)- contact Paul Fischer for parking. SORRY EVERYONE!!!
 
Due to inclement weather, ie RAIN, we had to postpone our race this weekend at Capital City Speedway and schedule their next race Oct 8th (VDKA's 2nd raindate).
After much discussion, VDKA will run the Dylan Brockwell Memorial Pro Clone Champ race at Margarettsville. Back in the day Dylan raced there on Friday nights at their regular races as well as a VDKA member..... the track is honored to host his race.
VDKA's 3rd race will be held at Margarettsville Speedway July 23rd - (this is the make-up date from April due to rain). Gates open at 7, Practice scheduled for 9 a.m. with qualifying to follow. Please call or text Paul at (804) 519-4216 for parking.

Another VDKA race in the books for 2022 - Drivers and crews fought the heat and we had some really good racing on the track! Thank you for watching out for each other, staying hydrated and "cool". Congrats to Dillen Brown winning the Dylan Brockwell Memorial Sr Champ Race $3077 ....also winning the Pro Clone Heavy $1000 race. I wish I could remember all the other winners but I remember these two as I had to wait until tech finished for payout.....at midnight! Long Hot Day!
THANK YOU to the 4 corner workers that were on the track all day and night in the heat.... the umbrellas helped, but it was still miserable out there - you all rock!
Margarettsville Speedway lived up to the old day expectations on the track....Paul Fischer & family, along with his mighty crew of Eddie Moore and The Jarrett clan, worked their butts off the last couple of weeks and it showed---Well Done All!
the "ol' gal" was back......
I will get working on points before the next race is here, which by the way will be August 6th at Albermarle Speedway (2 weeks!!) Contact Wes Morgan here on FB for parking and any questions. Fingers crossed that it will be cooler - how could it be any hotter??? Right!!!! PETE
