Vega Date Code

Vega, like every other kart tire, submits a new tire to CIK for homologation ( the internationally recognized approval procedure) every three years.

MAS
MBS
MCS

Vega recently introduced the MDH which replaces the MCH

The US importer has not informed its Distribution network of any planned changes in the MCS line......but then again, they never do as they don't like to get stuck with old inventory.

Back to the original post about date codes.....I honestly have never even looked on the sidewall to see if there is one. I have never had an MCS sitting on the shelf for more than 30 days. Right now any MCS we are selling has not even been in the USA for 30 days as they are selling at rates unseen before.

We are currently in the middle of the 2020-2022 period. The D is probably their current offering and we are finally starting to see it in the harder compound. A good guess is we will either see an MES in 2023, or they will continue to make the MCS specifically for the USA market since it is not a homologated compound.
