walbro round fuel pump

There should be a "P" marked on one nipple, that's you pulse line. One should have a small arrow pointing toward the pump, that's you inlet and the other would be your outlet. Atleast that's how my round pumps are. Hope this helps!

On the new walbro round pump the inlet is marked "in". The pulse inlet usually has a small P by it. The inlet and the Pulse line are next to each other. The pulse line is the top part of the pump. The outlet is 90 degrees point away from the inlet. Hope this helps.

With any 3-fitting pulse type pump you can identify the inlet and outlet by blowing into the fittings one at a time. When you find one that allows air to blow in you've found the inlet (tank side). Air will be coming out of another fitting. That's the outlet (carb side). The remaining fitting is the pulse fitting .

not quite, the only one that actually allows air to go in is the one with the 'P' marked on it, neither of the other two would let air in or out, and when i blew in the pulse one, it made a pop noise

If air won't go in the inlet side you might have a problem with your pump. If you blow hard enough air should go in the inlet and out the outlet through the check valves.
