The Seay wedge panels (or any panels for that matter) used in conjunction with the Seay nose will widen the kart 3-4 extra inches. The nose is much wider than a standard nose and unless you want the outside edges of the nose to stick out further than the wedge panels you have to kick out your nerfs to match up to the outside edges of the nose. It makes the kart noticeably wider so make sure you have enough length on your nerfs to re-drill and pin into the spuds.
 
just use a nose piece that isnt any wider than the width of the front wheel track, then cut off the ends of the nerfs to push them in enough to be even with the width of the nose piece, and will possibly need to narrow interior panel/rear wing....
 
I would do a standard width nose with wedge panels. If you want the Seay wej wing, Just cut a few inches off. It too is also extra wide to accommodate the body being wide for that Seay nose.

No ,not sure the wedge does anything wing that's another story. A couple years ago Mr.Wayne Feltch had the freight train clones pretty much a bare frame with a huge wing very respectable setup. Later Chuck.
 
On a 1/8 track unless you have big Hp. not much affect. With low Hp. it could have adverse affect. Just my opinion later Chuck they sure look cool though.
