Weight mounting ?

When mounting weight to the seat. I'm thinking about using a grade 8 5/16 carriage bolt with a washer between the bolt head and seat.
I've never had to mount weight before, I always carried mine with me.
I'd like to know if this is a good way of doing this.
Thanks.

Here's what we use, and sell.

Do you know how the dead blow hammer works? Filling the frame with lead shot does the same thing. You'll be surprised at how much change occurs when you do this. Only problem is; it needs to be changed out on a regular basis. It tends to clump up and lose its effectiveness.

I've ran against a gentleman who had that in his left side rail. It works but not if you need to take weight off to run a lighter weight class.
