What pipe are you running on a red plate

We can run a big pipe and muffler on our red plate. What pipe would you run or do you run? My question is without a large amount of air able to get into the engine should we try to balance the engine by running a smaller pipe or atleast one that creates some backpressure?

Back pressure the term should never be used in reference to exhaust flow. Length of pipe is the most important factor the correct length creates a negative pressure in the pipe between exhaust strokes, if correct it prevents atmospheric pressure from entering the pipe to impeded flow. Apipe larger than the port is always desirable, the smaller pipes are used to limit power, just like a restrictor.
