How do u determine aprox what key to use. I have a clone block predator crank flattop piston 80 over 308 cam stainless valves and lifters billet retainers 30lb springs head ported and polished with a 28 mikuni on gas/cam 2

You need to know what the timing of the flywheel is with a stock key in it. Call whom ever you got the flywheel from and ask how much timing is in the flywheel then you can go from there.
Or you can get an adjustable timing setup, it will come in very handy, then you can run a stock key and adjust the timing to where you want. Btw I don't run a key in mine and never had a problem.

if its an ARC wheel it has 18 degrees advance in the flywheel already. besides the keyways are only meant for alignment not holding the flywheel in place. thats why they are matching tapers.
