Will a techumseh piston fit a Briggs and Stratton

have new 5 horse techumseh rings laying around, will they fit a 5 horse Briggs if I use a techumseh piston?

The size (diameter) of the standard bore on a Briggs 5HP is different than every 5HP Tecumseh (e.g., HS50, H50) that I am aware of, so the pistons and rings are not interchangeable.

If you use the tecumseh piston you'll have to bore the Briggs. 060 , which you could do without sleeving it. But it's pretty thin. The question is ,is the wrist pin the same size and how much different is the pin to crown height.

If using the tecumseh piston, might as well use the briggs 206 piston.

Just more common.
Bore size similar to tecumseh.
Wrist pin more common.
Jmho.
