The basics of the WKA classes are on the website.

More detail has to be obtained from the WKA tech manual.

Open Sprint is not in the tech manual that I can find because I don't believe it is an official WKA national class. I believe it usually offered as a local option. Here is a list of local option classes from the Dart Kart Club web site: LO Classes

It IS Open....lol.....for jockey sized drivers and V8 sized engines. :) FWIW, with my CIK bodywork ICA, I was at 290# with no weights added, and my weight at the time was 145#. What is the current specc'ed weight for open?

There is not a min weight that is being inforced. I go over the scales at about 450 and weigh 240+. Big block racing is generally for bigger racers. I think that the reason that clones didn, t work in RR is that they didn,t have enough hp to be fun if you were a big person.
