Id have to agree with Brian, when the track is bad enough for 22's, the guy who can get prepped down 33's to work will be faster 9 times out of 10. There is a time and place for 22's, the window of opportunity just isnt very big. I would refinish them, roll them with a good conditioner, then wipe the outside with a few coats of something for bite, and put them thru a heat cycle and check to see where they are. They could be good tires for a rainy day.
