Accutoe Pro Laser

When using the Accutoe Pro system, does the mirror need to be on the top or bottom of the rod? Reason I ask is, I have done it both ways and it gives a different reading from the top to the bottom. Bought it used with no instructions.

Something is wrong if it doesn't show the same both ways... Check the V block on the back side of the mirror, make sure all 3 thumb screws tighten down good, clean the shaft the mirror mounts to, it should be smooth all the way around (and straight). And check to see if the mirror is out of place or not laying flat on the aluminum block (maybe it was dropped before you got it).

If your Kart is on a stand, and not the scales, there is typically a little play either in the steering shaft bushing or in the locking pin. Take this play out by turning the wheel either direction. Just do it the same every time or it'll be different every time.

I clamp the toe lock with a pair of vise grip clamps to prevent the steering play while setting up front ends.

I use a really small (really weak) bungee strap from the steering wheel to the lip of the seat. Or a piece of tape.
