Adjusting carb float - other things to do while carb is off?

Our cadet LO206 kart (blue slide) has been misfiring in corners on a bumpy track so I am planning on checking and adjusting the carb float to lower the fuel level in the bowl (I have Jimbo's gage and a micrometer for this).

We are running 100% pump gas - no ethanol (we have a station nearby and it seems worth it to get this).

We have about several hours of run time on the kart and I am wondering what else is makes sense to do while I have the carburetor pulled off? Any cleaning? If it's running ok should I just leave it alone? Does running pure gasoline help reduce the risks of corrosion and clogging?

Pull the jets and make sure all the holes are clean. We always ran regular 87 pump gas, so I can’t help you there.

Sorry to be confusing I meant it was 100% 87 pump gas with no ethanol. It's pure gasoline.
