In an effort to clear up any confusion , the WKA tech update for the PRO GAS class is not correct in reference to the Header Pipe . The Pro Gas engine has a spec header, RLV part number 5511 . Please refer to the Pro Gas Animal Engine rules in your WKA tech manual Page 139 , section 705 .
Animal Modified , The WKA tech update for this class is also incorrect . The rule should read , legal engines for this class as follows,
Animal Modified ,Stock animal ( alky ) , Pro Gas motor, Stock Clone . This was approved by the WKA trustees 10-17-14 .
Daytona and all road racing safety tech . Reusable safety clips ( Barry Clamps ) are not acceptable unless safety wired . Your best bet is to use split cotter pins and or safety wire on all steering , brakes , and areas normally looked at for safety tech .
