ARC Stroker Crankshaft

I have had problems with the Keyway on the ARC Billet crankshaft letting the key roll, I've had three cranks do this, I'm running a Martin three disc clutch. These are 25 - 28 hp engines. Anybody have a idea please let me know,

Is there damage to the keyway, on the crank or clutch. The only other problem would be a key that does not fit the keyways properly.

Make sure you are using the right key, martinbuilt clutches usually use a square key, not the smaller key that is typically used with Bully and other clutches. They key should fit snug in the keyway and not be loose at all, if its loose in the keyway that is why you're rolling the keys

Also, double check and make sure the drive hub on your clutch is not cracked along the edge of the keyway, that is a common problem with clutches on higher hp engines. Once the keyway is cracked in the drive hub, the key will not hold the clutch in place like it should. I'd be willing to bet you have a hairline crack in the drive hub on the clutch
