Axle bearing location-axle pinned left or right?

1. Whats the difference if the bearings are installed with longer part facing inward on axle or both sides facing out.

2. Whats the difference if I have my axle pinned on the left side and floating on the right or axle pinned on the right side and floating on the left?
 
Whatever side you pin is the side that receives the side load.Think of it as the tires want to grip or keep holding the track which means the chassis wants to make force going to the outside of the track.The side of the axle that is pinned is the side that gets loaded heaviest.Pinning both sides which I do not think is highly recommended loads both sides thus making the whole back of the kart stiffer.JMHO still learning...lol
 
Sounds to me like you need to get ahold of your chassis manufacture and get a setup to start with, judging from all the questions you have asked. Just sayin.
