General Rules of Competition for Karting Events

The Bloomington Speedway and its officials have the right to set and change any race program format at any time.

The track and officials will determine how many races will be held as well as the number of competitors in each class.

Drivers must drive the kart they entered with, if there is a driver change they will start on the tail of the event. The track officials must be notified 15 minutes before the event of the change or the kart will be disqualified for that event.

All competitors must wear helmets during competition.

After a yellow flag has been given all racing is under caution, no racing back to the start/finish line.

Any karts involved in a yellow flag will restart if able, on the tail of the field.

Any kart that rolls over on its side will be out of the event

Any kart that leaves the track for any reason is done for the event.

Any driver that leaves his kart seat on the track will be done for the event.

Anyone arguing or interfering with track officials will be removed from property without refunds of any kind.

All decisions of track officials and scoring officials are final.

All drivers must attend the drivers meeting before practice begins.

Scales

The scales will be located by the pit entrance and all karts must scale after each event.

Technical Inspection

All karts and teams will be subject to technical inspection at any time.

Fuel

Fuel will not be available at the track so make sure your fuel is correct. It will be tested!

Scoring

Heat Races will be determined from the draw.

Feature Races will be determined from the results of the heats. It will be a straight up start from the results of the heats during your class heats.

A lap is complete when the leader has crossed the start finish line.

If a yellow or red flag happens before the first lap is completed, a complete restart will take place. The kart or karts causing the yellow or red will restart in the back of the field.

The race is over when the leader crosses the finish line. All other karts must cross the finish line to be scored.

A kart must score two full laps of a feature to receive payback for that event

There will be no yellow flag given on the last lap after the leader has been given the white flag. If the flagman determines it is safe to finish the race or a red flag is needed, the race will be scored in the order when the white flag was given.

If a kart has scratched after the lineup has been posted, the karts in the same row will move forward in their respective row.

All karts must have numbers on both side’s front and rear.

All karts must be in staging area and lined up before their event. If you miss your line up, you go to tail.

If you fail to start in line up, you will get one lap by the field after they have entered the track.
