Bully clutch end play

I know that briggs doesn't want any end play but bully was a little bit of float on the install. Which is the correct way and why does bully say there clutch could be damaged if installed without end play?

You want .015" - .030" end play, you can adjust end play with clutch spacers or 3/4" bore washers

So that you don't smash the clutch against the shoulder on the crank and get it stuck or break the race on the drive hub if you hammer it on with an impact.

As long as you run the radius washer, the Bully will be fine with no endplay. As Cole pointed out, guys tend to impact the retaining bolt in the end of the crank and when running a Bully inboard, can damage the inner race and drive hub.

If you run endplay, you will wear the keyway in the crank of the L206 -- seen it many times. For sure it doesn't fix itself and only gets worse over time with repeated use with endplay.
