Just bought a new 3.5 i/c briggs flathead for my sons kart. The old engine we used was a briggs 3.5 flathead none i/c that has a pulsa jet carb on it that looks like the carb i see on briggs raptor motors. I love this carb!! Can i use this carb on my new moter. The new motor came with a float style carb. Both motors have the same block,piston,crank,valves. The only difference is my new is i/c the old is not.
One more question. Can i leave the governor gear in the crankcase or do i need to remove it since i will be trying to push this motor close to 4000rpm. If i leave it in the crankcase all it will do is spin. i see no problem with that.
