Things You Should Know:
Casey's Backstretch Shine is a little different than your everyday tire prep. We have designed and created a tire prep program that can be fine-tuned. What does that mean? Well, we are glad you asked! We have designed three different preps that can not only work as solo preps but have also been designed to work with its counterparts to maximize performance under any circumstances.
Our Honeymoon prep is a deep penetrating tire prep that gets down into the rubber and also has a softening agent that will soften tires several durometer points (depending on how many coats you put on). For example, if you're going to a track that requires a soft tire all night and you want to continuously soften the tire as the night goes, this prep is perfect for that type of condition. If you notice you need to add a little bite in the tire and want the tire to fire a little faster, you can then roll the Sweet Red over top of the Honeymoon. Now the tire is going to fire very quickly and last the duration of the race while continuing to soften the tire throughout your night of racing.
Ole Blue prep can be used on those dry, dusty tracks midday or in early evening as a stand alone prep too. We would recommend starting to use this prep on Thursday and Friday by wiping a couple coats onto the tire. If the track you're going to is known for being abrasive you might want to wipe a few extra coats on to get the prep deeper into the tire. Once you are at the track you can continue to use the Ole Blue as a standalone prep. If you feel you need the tires to fire faster, again you may roll the Sweet Red on over top of the Ole Blue. The Ole Blue prep is a very good base for the Sweet Red because it will open the pores and allow the prep to soak deep into the tires WITHOUT softening them like the Honeymoon does. You can find the formula for maximum traction by using the Ole Blue and Sweet Red together.
Sweet Red is a very slow soaking tire prep. Sweet Red is our best general tire prep because it handles well in many different conditions and can be used as a starting point for everyone new to our products. It can be used as a standalone prep at those tracks that already have signs of bite a in them or if there is moisture in the air. We have also found that Sweet Red can work on dry track conditions, under certain circumstances when the tracks are dry AND CLEAN. The Sweet Red can be added to any of the other preps to help fine-tune the tires for any given night. Sweet Red works the best when it’s applied to the tire with a paint roller 15 to 30 minutes before the race and left on the tires wet (do not burn off with a torch, do not wipe off with a rag). The tires may still be wet as you roll on to the racetrack.
Lemon Aid is our tire cleaner. This product should be used after a night of racing and after you have cleaned the tires with water and dried them. Use this chemical to help rejuvenate the tire and deep-clean the pores. This product can also be used before you start your prepping procedure for your weekend events. You may use this product at the track if you would like to clean the tires between races. However, if you're using our other preps we do not feel this is a necessity, but you are more than welcome to!
Casey's Backstretch Shine products can be used in many different combinations to maximize your traction needs! It is not your everyday prep. We aim to create a product that can be used in different application combinations with our product to help the everyday racer get the edge that they need over the competition.
