Champ Kart question

Just got my first champ kart and am installing a new belt harness. I assume it is legal everywhere to "wrap" mount" the shoulder belts around the roll bar. The older harness set that was on kart when I bought it was done this way,,, plus instructions from Racequip included this method. All other belts are mounted via the bolt plates on the belts. I just dont want to pull in a track only to be told this isnt allowed.

Modern champs are wrap around belt style. Just follow the Racequip directions .

Yep, you're good to go that way on the shoulder straps.
DO NOT wrap the lap belt around the lower frame rails though (obvious why.)

Yep, thanks for the reply/ advice guys. I wrap mounted the shoulder belts only. Obviously used the standard bracket mounts on lap belts and sub belt. Been around racing a long time and have never wrap mounted. But followed the Racequip instructions. Safety is priority one to me in racing, over performance and everything else.

Make sure after you get you belts set you run the tail back through to lock the belts from slipping. I have seen many big cars were they haven't done that.
