Choke removal

I am going to play around with boring a spare carb. I have disassembled the carb, but am not sure how to remove the choke butterfly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Slide an Olfa knife blade into plastic slot to clear the barbs on the plate grasp both with pliers and pull straight out, shaft lifts out.
