Clutch rattle

Clutch rattles really loud when taking off and when letting off throttle and getting back on it. It is a Norman drum clutch on a gx50 kid kart any ideas how to get this where it doesn’t do this seems really sluggish

You mean Noram? If so, you might want to take the drum off and take pictures so we will know which model it is and maybe will be able to spot problems. I have Stingers and they all rattle (ting ting ting sounds) when not engaged. Could be a snap ring came off, something simple. Pic of the inside of the drum too.

A bushing drum needs more attention then a bearing . Fyi .
Plus the springs could be wrong or the shoes clocked wrong .
Picture will definitely help.

place your shoes in the lead or push position not pulling … also if it’s metal shoes with no fiber on them a light spray of wd40 will normally take care of a chatter
